How much can you get for switching to Nationwide?
Launched on Thursday, 23 May 2024, this new incentive offers £200 per switch. Unlike other banking offers, both personal and joint accounts are eligible, allowing couples to earn up to £600.
Who qualifies for the switching offer?
This offer is exclusive to existing Nationwide members as of 31 March 2024, including those with:
A qualifying current account: FlexPlus, FlexDirect, FlexAccount, FlexBasic, FlexGraduate, FlexStudent, or FlexOne.
A qualifying savings account: Any personal savings account or cash ISA (excluding business savings or investments and accounts held for a child).
A qualifying mortgage: Any residential mortgage (excluding buy-to-let, lifetime, or subsidiary mortgages, or incomplete applications).
Requirements for the switching offer
Open or have a current account To qualify, you need one of the following Nationwide accounts: FlexAccount, FlexDirect, or FlexPlus. If you don't already have one, you must open one online or via the Nationwide app.
Switch from a different bank You must switch from another bank using the Current Account Switch Service, transferring all funds, standing orders, direct debits, and incoming payments, while closing your old account. The switch must be initiated online or through the app and completed within 28 days to qualify. Switches requested before 23 May 2024 are not eligible.
Switch two direct debits You must switch over two active direct debits. These need to be live on the account being switched from.
Can I get the money if I’ve already switched to Nationwide?
This offer is available only once per customer. If you’ve received switching cash from Nationwide since 18 August 2021, you are not eligible. Although there is half a chance - see our guide!
Can you get a personal and joint switching bonus?
Yes, you can receive two payments: one for switching a personal account and another for switching a joint account into a new or existing joint Nationwide account. However, joint accounts only receive one payment per couple.
How to switch?
Existing customers should log into their desktop Nationwide online banking to initiate the switch into an existing account. New customers can do this as part of their application. Follow the steps on the landing page, using either a card reader or a One Time Passcode to verify the switch. You’ll need the account number, sort code, and long debit card number of the old account.
When will you get paid?
The bonus will be deposited within 10 days of the switch completion. You can cancel any direct debits set up specifically for this bonus once the money is received.
When will the Nationwide bank switch offer end?
There is no published end date for this offer, but it is a limited-time offer. Updates will be provided if a date is announced.
